Referral GP Australia (we, our, us) is committed to protecting your privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
When you request a referral we collect your name, email, phone number and postcode, and details of what you are seeking a referral for. If you proceed to a consultation, we collect relevant health information as part of your medical record.
We use your information to contact you, arrange and conduct your telehealth consultation, issue referrals and requests, process Medicare claims, and meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
Your information is stored on secure, access-controlled systems. We do not sell or trade your personal information. We disclose it only where necessary to provide your care (for example to a pathology or imaging provider or the specialist you are referred to), where required by law, or with your consent.
You may request access to or correction of your personal information, or lodge a complaint, by emailing admin@referralgp.au. If you are not satisfied with our response you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
